 What is Shalshelet?
Shalshelet means chain, and it connects you, The Epstein School of Jewish Studies, and the Syracuse Community Hebrew School or one of our community’s three Sunday schools.

How do I get involved?
You attend The Epstein School (1-2 hours/week) and volunteer or work as a madrich/madricha (teacher’s aide) 2-5 hours/week at SCHS or in one of our religious schools.

Why get involved?
You learn more about Judaism at Epstein, and you help others learn more about Judaism in one of the schools.
And each year as you do both, your base compensation increases by $1/hour.
1st year = $1/hour more than original
2nd year = $2/hour more than original
3rd year = $3/hour more than original
